The Women's National Basketball Association All-Star Game, an annual exhibition basketball game featuring the best players from the Western and Eastern Conferences, is held every year. The United States broadcasts the game and millions of viewers view it every year. It is one the most watched sporting events worldwide and is a must for basketball fans.
Sylvia Fowles
Sylvia Fowles has been named honorary selection to the WNBA All Star Game. She is currently finishing her final season with the league. Her averages are 14.9 points and 9.2 rebounds. She also has 1.2 steals and blocks. Her team, the Minnesota Lynx is currently at 8-15 and 2.5 games away from the playoffs.
Fowles was a former LSU standout and dunk on a breakaway chance in the second half. Fowles was in a position to press Team Stewart’s ball-handler for an error and then took the ball and slammed into it. Fowles finished the game with seven rebounds and nine points for Team Wilson.
Sue Bird
Sue Bird, a Chicago Bulls guard, has been named the co-captain of the WNBA All-Star team. Breanna Stewart (also a Chicago Bulls guard) has been named co-captain of the WNBA All-Star team. The game will be held at Chicago's Wintrust Arena on Sunday, 7 July 2010. It will also be televised live on ABC.

Sue Bird was selected for eighth All-Star Game. Sylvia Fowles was chosen for the thirteenth All-Star Game. Fowles was the star of the first half with her breakaway dunk. Sue Bird and Fowles received a standing ovation after the game.
Arike Olubowale
Arike Ogunbowale (a two-time NCAA champion) has been selected as her first WNBA All-Star. She was the league's top scorer last season, and she is currently eighth in points per match for the Dallas Wings. She is expected to play an important role in Team USA's preparations at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Chicago will host the WNBA All-Star Game on July 9-10. The Saturday night event has special events added by the WNBA. This includes a skills competition, and a three person contest. Ogunbowale wants to be a part in the next All-Star game. Team USA won the previous All-Star match.
Kelsey Plum
Kelsey Plum was the Aces' first WNBA All Star Game guard. She scored 30 points in defeat to Team Stewart. Despite her diminutive stature, Plum was crowned the WNBA All Star Game MVP. Plum's MVP trophy was however dwarfed by Kobe Bryant's All Star MVP trophy. Cathy Engelbert, WNBA commissioner, brought humor to the event and presented Plum with a new trophy following the game.
Plum said she was aiming to win the MVP award. She set an All-Star record by scoring 12 field goals and taking 18 shots during the game. She averages 19.9 minutes per game. She will be representing the United States in 3x3 basketball at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Arike Ogunbowale won the MVP award
Arike Ogunbowale was the MVP of the WNBA all-star game. The Dallas guard was a Notre Dame basketball player. She was the fifth overall pick of the WNBA draft. Vanessa Bryant, her mother, was a big fan of the player. Her family voted for her, so the award is an extra special one for her.
While the 2021 WNBA all-star game saw many changes, the game remains an all star event. Ogunbowale, who beat Team USA in the matchup 93-85, was the lone WNBA participant to win MVP honors. Ogunbowale also has the chance to do the same feat again in two years since she was named a reserve for the 2022 WNBA all-star game. The game will be played in Chicago and will air on ABC.
