Hope Solo has made some news recently. Although she pleaded guilty in court to driving while intoxicated and child abuse, she was also accused of driving under the influences. She has since been dismissed from the Women's National Team. This is not the first time that Hope has been involved in newsworthy scandals. Hope Solo pleads guilty in the case of driving while impaired

Hope Solo, the American soccer star, has pleaded guilty driving under the influence. A judge in Forsyth County gave the 23-year-old suspended sentences, an active sentence of 30 days, and a substance abuse assessment. Solo received credit from the judge for the time she spent in rehab. The sentence includes a $2,500 fine and the obligation to complete a substance abuse assessment.

She was stopped in a Walmart parking area

Hope Solo, a mother of two, has been featured in several news stories following her arrest at the Walmart parking lot near Winston-Salem in North Carolina. The mother-of-two was arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest. Additionally to these charges she was also charged misdemeanor with child abuse. A witness spotted Hope Solo passing out in the driver's seat while she was driving, and the officers pulled her over. Solo and her children were in the backseat.


She was charged misdemeanor with child abuse

Former U.S. Women's National Soccer Team goalkeeper Hope Solo was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI), resisting arrest and misdemeanor child abuse. On further investigation, it was found that she was also accused of misdemeanor children abuse. Solo was accused of domestic violence and the police supported her charges.

She was removed from Women's National Team 2016

Former U.S. Women's National Team member Hope Solo was suspended for 30 days from the team in 2016 after being arrested on two counts of domestic violence in 2014. It was due to an altercation between her half-sister, and her 17-year old nephew. She will soon be able to play for the USWNT once again in February. Solo was previously reported to be suffering from a drinking problem. Solo was also reported to have been drunk while driving in a U.S. soccer truck.

She has had several run-ins with law enforcement

The retired soccer player Hope Solo has had a series of run-ins with law enforcement. Two misdemeanor assault charges were filed against her in 2014. Although she pleaded not guilty, the charges were eventually dismissed due to procedural violations. Kirkland dropped domestic abuse charges against Solo earlier in the year. Meanwhile, Solo denied all accusations.
