After a sloppy first half against Sweden, Spain showed signs of life against the USA and a more physical style against Sweden. The US's poor finishing was noted. Jenni Hermoso's perfect shot in the ninth minute equalized the score. The second half was a more physical affair, with Spain failing many penalties and yellow tickets. In the 76th minute, Spain was flagged for a soft foul that Megan Rapinoe took advantage of. The US's physical fitness showed in the last 15 minutes.
La Roja's performance in the USA
La Roja was astonished by their performance against the United States. The U.S. WNT hadn't conceded a goal for eight consecutive competitive matches, and outscored their rivals 44-0. The Spaniards' goal-scoring record is impressive, but they have grown stronger. They are a dangerous group that can apply pressure to the inexperienced U.S. goalkeeper. La Roja has been frustrated by their last two goals, both scored by Megan Rapinoe.

They formed them against South Africa
Spain started their match against South Africa as a 4-3-3 team. With their wide attackers taking up half-spaces and making space for their fullbacks, Spain used a 4-3-3 structure. South Africa was unable to counterattack because the midfield was very compact. With the exception of some good efforts by Amanda Mthandi (and Kgatlana), the attacking midfielders from Spain were responsible for all the goals.
Their away kit against South Africa
Red change jerseys against Argentina were last worn by the Springboks in 2017. In September 2017, they wore one in red against Argentina. The red away jersey was a promotional product by Asics, which saw the Springboks and Blitzboks donning all the colours of the South African flag. They also wore greens, blacks, and whites in the Sevens Series.
Their performance against Sweden
Sweden defeated Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019. Sweden secured a place at the final, and will be facing either France or Germany at Wembley. The Swedish team used their athleticism and outran Germany's backline to win the game. Their 48th minute goal was the decisive factor in the victory. Sweden won the European Championships in 1984 on penalties and hopes to repeat the feat at Wembley.

Their knockout round match against Germany
The Spaniards have been in impressive form since the injury to Alexia Putellas in their previous game. Germany won their last match and has been a strong force throughout the tournament. The hosts are in good shape and will be trying to get into the knockout round. Germany has however lost Marie-Antoinette Kathoto to injury while France has been struggling to find its feet in this tournament.
