Annika Sorenstam trails Madelene Sagstrom

Annika Sorenstam has reclaimed the top spot on the LPGA Tour leaderboards after posting a 5-under 65 Thursday. Madelene Sagstrom was Madeika's captain's choice last year. Sorenstam teamed up with her fellow LPGA Tour star Madelene. After the first round, the two shot a 5-under 65 and shared the lead. Sorenstam is competing in her second LPGA Tour event for the year and third overall since 2008 Sorenstam & Sagstrom will continue to play alternate shots on Friday.

Sorenstam, one of the four players who shot a round of 69, was two shots ahead of Sagstrom. Both players are still in the race for a win, but they still have the potential to win a trophy. Sorenstam has not won on the LPGA Tour since 2008. She has however played in several events this year including the U.S. Senior Women's Open at Kingsmill and the Michelob Ultra Open.
