Lavelle is a Cincinnati-born midfielder
Rose Lavelle from Cincinnati is a soccer player. She began playing soccer at age 5 in the YMCA coed youth leagues. When she scored her goal, she didn’t smile or celebrate but kept her cool and carried on playing the game. Later she was a soccer player for several local clubs, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college soccer at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew up in Cincinnati and went to Mount Notre Dame High School. Later, she was awarded a scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. She plays today for the Washington Spirit in NWSL. Neil Bradford, a Cincinnati Soccer trainer, is what Lavelle attributes to her discovery of her passion for soccer.

Lavelle has represented the United States women's national team at the youth and senior levels. She was named the Big Ten's top midfielder in November 2015. Later, she was awarded the NSCAA's first-team honor all-American. Lavelle played in the USL W-League for both the Dayton Dutch Lions and Seattle Sounders Women's teams in 2014. Lavelle enlisted in the Washington Spirit shortly after she graduated from college. She returned to Dayton after graduation for the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League.
She played for Wisconsin
Rose Lavelle won Big Ten's Midfielder Award of the Year in December 2015. Rose Lavelle was also selected to play on the U.S. Women's National Team but did not make it onto the game-day roster. At that point, her frustration started to grow. She felt like she was not making the right progress and wasn't in the best shape for the rigors of playing for the national team. Through a meeting she had with Coach Wilkins, she was finally able to make progress.
Rose Lavelle plays for the Badgers and is an active participant in university's community programs. She is a key participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience. She is now a brand ambassador to the premium light beer FLIGHT By Yuengling.
She has been an integral member of the U.S. Women's National Team
Rose Lavelle hails from Cincinnati, Ohio. At 15 years of age, she was a key player in the U.S. Women's National Team. She recently played in the Czech Republic at the SheBelieves Cup. The USWNT won the match 0-0 but they were outshot 18-6 by their opponents. Rose Lavelle was named Budweiser Woman Champion of the Match.

Lavelle suffered an injury during a friendly match with Australia in June 2017. She was hurt in the hamstring, but she returned to USWNT for the last game. She was a brilliant player throughout the tournament. Her teammates and coaches recognized her as a breakthrough player.
Lavelle played at the World Cup in the United States. She made her World Cup debut in Thailand, but she was not able to make it against Chile. Later, she returned against Sweden to help the United States push its attacks.
