She is currently enrolled in an alcohol treatment program

Hope Solo, a former US women's soccer player, has entered an alcohol treatment programme. Following a March 31 arrest, she was taken into custody on suspicion of driving while impaired and misdemeanor child abuse. The two-time Olympic medalist is currently appealing to be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. However, it has been pushed back until 2023. She was found unconscious behind the wheel and with her twins in the backseat. According to reports Hope Solo became so drunk that she couldn't perform a field test of sobriety and follow the instructions given by the police officer. She was also arrested for driving while impaired and resisting arrest.

The arrest occurred one month after Hope Solo was initially scheduled to be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Hope requested that the ceremony be moved to 2023 in order for her to attend the program while she focuses on her recovery and her loved ones. Hope's original induction date was May 21, but she requested a deferment from the Hall of Fame. Hope's decision has been supported by The Hall of Fame. We look forward to celebrating her at the next Induction Ceremony.
