Liz Carmouche now stands at 4-0 in Bellator's cage after a spectacular victory over Juliana Velasquez, former world champion. Her victory earned her the Bellator Flyweight Championship. This win was part Bellator 278’s main event. It ended only 4:47 into Round Four. It was the first time Carmouche had defeated Velasquez. Velasquez was unbeaten in professional MMA.

Liz Carmouche, daughter of an Air Force pilot and a mother, grew-up on Okinawa Military Base, Japan. Her father was stationed there in the Air Force and her mother got married there. There was a Christian school where she graduated in 2003. Now, she's studying at San Diego City College to become a kinesiologist.
