Lindsey Horan, USWNT Midfielder

Horan played for the Colorado Rush in NWSL before she became an internationally-ranked player. She was awarded the NWSL MVP award in 2018. Since joining the USWNT in 2018, she has scored 25 goals as well as provided 34 assists. She was born in France and played for Colorado before moving to the United States.

Lindsey Horan was a soccer player from an early age. She was recruited by the Colorado Rush Youth Soccer Club to play on their U12 Nike Team. Linda Horan (her mother) encouraged her to play the sport. Her competitive journey began from there. She began her career playing club soccer for Colorado Rush before focusing on the United States Women's National Team. She made 108 USWNT appearances and scored 25 goals, while also providing 34 assists.

Horan's high school and college career have taken her across the globe. In 2012, Horan played in the W-League for Colorado Rush. She scored two goals and shot 19 times. Later, she signed six-figure contracts with Paris Saint-Germain FC. Since then, she has been a forward for PSG.

Lindsey Horan, an assistant midfielder with the Portland Thorns FC was named as the 2018 NWSL MVP. The midfielder tallied 13 goals in 22 starts and was named to the NWSL's Best XI. She was also the league's leader in touches, duels and aerial duels won.

Horan joined the Portland Thorns FC in 2016, and has since been instrumental in the team's rise to the NWSL championship. She won the game against North Carolina Courage. Recently, she was named to the USWNT World Cup qualifying roster. She has played 56 international matches and scored six goal. Horan's performances on the field have led to her MVP award, which is her first.

Lindsey Horan started playing soccer at a young age and showed the potential right away. At 12 years old, she was invited to join the U12 Nike Team of the Colorado Rush Youth Soccer Club. Linda Horan her mother and her assistant coach encouraged her play and helped her pursue her dreams of becoming professional soccer players. She has not looked back since then. Today, she's participated in 108 international tournaments for the United States Women's National Team.


Horan is only 20 years old, but she has already made a significant impact on the USWNT. Her 34 assists and 25 goals have earned Horan a place on the team's historical roster. She is a consistent starter and has been a key part of their success.

She started her career in France

Lindsey Horan turned pro at age eighteen and joined Paris Saint-Germain. The shockwaves that this decision caused in the soccer world were uncontrollable. Horan, who was already a gifted player, had made a commitment to play at the University of North Carolina. But, Horan decided to stay and make a name herself in the professional soccer world.

Horan had a crush one Messi, a top player in the USWNT, while she was still playing for her youth group. Horan was invited to join the French youth club by her coach after a family trip. After a brief break from college, Horan and her family moved to France and trained with the team. Horan didn't make an official appearance for the team to maintain her NCAA eligibility.

She will be on loan to Olympique Lyonnais in France until June 2023.

USWNT's midfielder, Horan, has agreed to sign a loan deal with Olympique Lyon until June 2023. This will allow him to join the club for the 2019 season. Horan will join Catarina macario, USWNT teammate at the club. Both players have been in the Lyon squad since last season and will be part of the team going forward.

Given Horan's European history, it is not surprising that she made this move. She played previously in France with Paris Saint-Germain between 2012 and 2016. She was recently awarded the Women's World Cup of Lyon by Paris Saint-Germain in 2012 to 2016.
