The SheBelieves Cup is an invitational women's association football tournament held in various cities across the United States. The tournament is made up of four teams that play two matches each. In its first three years, the tournament saw the same four teams compete in two matches. 2018 will see the tournament feature a doubleheader format.

SheBelieves Cup expands on U.S. Soccer’s #SheBelieves campaign

The SheBelieves Cup is a tournament featuring four teams and is based in the United States. It promotes the #SheBelieves campaign. This grassroots movement of US Soccer aims to encourage young girls to follow their dreams. The campaign has grown in popularity and gained widespread attention since its conception in the run-up of the 2015 Women's World Cup. It has created a strong connection between the team and its supporters and has sent a powerful message to empower them.

Visa sponsors the tournament. A tournament MVP will be given after the final game. A committee consisting of ex-Women's National Team player votes on the MVP.

It's a tournament with four teams

"She Believes" is a four team tournament for women's national soccer teams. The tournament is now in its sixth year and will take place on Feb. 17 in Carson, Calif. New Zealand and Iceland will play on Thursday at 5 p.m. PT on ESPN. The U.S. and Iceland will be facing off on February 20th at 12 p.m. PT on ABC.

The tournament includes four teams: Brazil (USA), England (Japan), and England (England). The USA is ranked first while England, Brazil and Japan are ranked eighth through tenth. Both teams have won a match. The winner of the final match will be determined. The total points and goal difference will decide the winner. Goals scored will also count. If a tie is not resolved after 90 minutes, head-to-head results will be used. Each team may use six substitutes.

It is held on the West Coast

The SheBelieves Cup will be played in two different cities this year. The tournament took place in Orlando in 2014, Florida. The tournament this year will be the third and will take place in Los Angeles and San Diego. The tournament will be held under strict COVID protocols, and will serve as the start of the U.S.'s qualifying year for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and the 2024 Olympic Games in France. The Concacaf W Championship of eight teams will be held between July 9th and July 24. The winner will receive four qualifiers to the World Cup and an automatic spot at next Olympic Games.


Young women can use this competition to gain entry into the national squad. The USWNT will face New Zealand, Iceland, Czech Republic and other top-ranked nations. This tournament attracts top teams such as Argentina and Germany. However, in the past the USWNT had a difficult time luring Canada's Olympic champion to America.

It's an doubleheader

U.S. Soccer hosted the SheBelieves Cup which will take place February 17-23. The tournament will open with the New Zealand vs Iceland match on February 17. The tournament will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN3 and ABC. The final doubleheader will be played in suburban Dallas.

The tournament showcases some of top women's football players around the globe. There are also Eugenie La Sommer, Carli Lloyd and Fara Williams.
