She set an American marathon record last year. She beat Deena Kastor's previous record of 24 seconds. Keira D'Amato, just 37, is an already well-known athlete. She started her life as a hobby jogger. Keira D'Amato graduated from American University and went on to become a Realtor. She also had two children, and participated in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.
Paula Jane Radcliffe
Paula Jane Radcliff, a famous female runner, has won international recognition in long-distance running events. She is a three time champion of the London Marathon, the New York Marathon, and the 2002 Chicago Marathon winner. She has also won many other events.
Helene de Pourtales
Helene de Pourtales (famous female runner at the 1900 Olympics) was born in New York. She was the child of a wealthy tobacco family. Isaac Barbey her father founded the tobacco empire and Helene's mother is a Lolliard hailing from France. Helene was an athlete and married Hermann Alexandre de Pourtales, a Huguenot descendant. The couple had three girls. Helene inherited her love for horses from her mother's side of the family.
Allison Stokke
Allison Stokke (female runner, pole vaulter, and athlete) is well-known. She was born in Newport Beach, California and is of white ethnicity. She was educated at Newport Harbor High School and then went on to study at the University of California. Stokke won many records in pole vaulting and other sports while at both schools. Stokke is also an advocate for healthy foods, and encourages others in her footsteps.
Tia-Clair Toomey
Tia Claire Toomey, a famous female athlete, is one of the most popular athletes of the past year. She is the face in female fitness. Her results speak louder than her words every time she competes. She won the 2022 NOBULL CrossFit Games. Toomey came back strong after a rough start to this competition. She led the competition to the finish.
Allison Baver
Allison Baver, a former U.S. Olympian in competitive running, announced her retirement on Monday. She was an Olympian twice, the first time in 2002 when she participated as an alternate on the U.S. women’s relay team of 3000m in Salt Lake City. Allison was also a participant in the 2006 Torino Winter Games. In Vancouver, she placed third in the 3000m relay. Allison was involved in a fatal accident in 2009, when she suffered broken ankles and legs in a crash with her teammate. This occurred one year prior to her expected participation at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.
