Michelle Wie West's retirement announcement from the LPGA schedule shocked many. But, it was the right decision. The "Babe", who blazed her path and left an indelible mark on the game, was a pioneer. Wie West was a prodigy, an artist's genius, and a formidable force on the course. She had all the characteristics that make a great player. From her formidable physical presence to her daring play versus male players, Wie West was both inspirational as well as controversial.

Kingsmill not in 2022 schedule

The Kingsmill Resort is not part of the 2022 LPGA Tour schedule. LPGA events have been hosted on the James River course at Kingsmill since 2003.
