Women's flyweight is defeated by women's ufc

UFC's women’s flyweight is a new division and is rapidly growing. The division currently boasts two champions: Nicco Montano & Valentina Shchenko. Montano, who is Chickasaw, Navajo, and Hispanic, fell in love early with MMA. She's coming off a win against Joanne Wood in the first round.

Shevchenko has a perfect record in UFC

Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko is the current UFC women's flyweight champion. She's 22-3, with six wins and one loss. She is considered the best Muay Thai fighter in the world, having defeated four UFC champions.

Calvillo rises to the challenge against higher-ranking opponents

Calvillo, who had struggled in her previous three fights decided to take on higher-ranked opponents. She competed from the 56th percentile on the DKFP and beat Katlyn Chookagian and Jessica Andrade before falling to Nina Nunes three times in a row. Although she is no longer ranked, Calvillo has the potential to improve her MMA career.

Jedrzejczyk's title defence

Joanna Jedrzejczyk (Polish mixed martial artist) is an example of this. For five years she has competed in UFC. Jedrzejczyk's career began in kickboxing. In 2006 she lost three straight fights in kickboxing to Valentina Shevchenko (former UFC champion). This fight will mark her first UFC title defense.

Calvillo's Career

UFC record for Cynthia Calvillo is disappointing. She is on a three-fight losing streak with the UFC, and another loss could see her leave. Although she's only 35, her UFC career isn't as bright as her record.

Tracy Cortez is a career coach

Tracy Cortez, a native of Arizona, began her journey towards the UFC when she was just five years old. Her parents were immigrants, and she grew up in a home where she was the only girl. In her early years she was not allowed sports. While she initially was interested in interior design and physical therapy (both of which she later switched to), her passion for mixed martial arts led her to become a specialist in the field. She has made mixed martial arts a big part of her life.
