Anna Nordqvist (International Golf Player, Swedish National Team Member) is an internationally ranked golfer. She was named to both the All-Academic Second Team and the Pac-10 First Team. In 2008, she was also named to the PING/ASU Invitational. At the 2008 NCAA Championships she was tied for fifth. She was also awarded the 2008 Ladies British Open Amateur. Nordqvist won the 2008 Ladies British Open Amateur. She also represented her country in the World Amateur Team Championships. In 2008, she was awarded low amateur honours. Nordqvist was 13 when she started playing golf. Her national coaches Katarina vangdal (Mari Bertilsk") helped her build her golf career. She qualified for the Tour on her first attempt.

Anna Nordqvist, a 2006 Arizona State University graduate, competed in amateur and college tournaments. In her freshman year, she won numerous championships and was named Pac-10 Champion. She then joined the Swedish team and competed in international championships. She assisted the team in winning the Espirito Santato Trophy and European Ladies Team Championship. In December 2008, she took part in LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. After completing the tournament, she turned professional.

Anna Nordqvist scored a 67 in round one of the U.S. Women's Open. This was her lowest score in 43 rounds. The Swedish player has now won two majors by opening three majors with a score of at least 67. She missed one fairway in Round 1's first nine holes, and she played the back nine at five under par. However, she lost in the playoff to Brittany Lang.

Nordqvist won both the 2017 Amundi Evian Championship as well as the 2009 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. She was runner up in both the 2006 and 2008 British Ladies Amateurs. She played college tennis at Arizona State University. Here she won three titles as well as being named Pac-10 player of the year. She participated in the Women’s British Open for two years consecutively, making it through each year. She was awarded the Smyth Salver Trophy as the lowest honor for amateurs.

Anna Nordqvist is struggling since her victory at this year's Evian Championship. The Swedish player has had to cope with several equipment changes that have brought about a multitude of problems. While she finished in the top ten twice this year she has not been allowed to compete in majors. She said she felt her game is improving this week and that she's now able to compete in the majors.

Nordqvist is 33 and a Swedish professional golfer. She was once married to Kevin McAlpine. She recently spoke with Golfweek magazine to discuss some of the changes she's made to her equipment and her career in general.
