Holly Holmes vs Victoria Vieira's scorecards last night were very confusing and difficult to identify a winner. Holm started with a great fight that featured many high-quality exchanges. It wasn't until Round 4 that the scores began to turn. Holm won round four with a dominant left hand from Vieira and a back elbow spin that Holm returned to win. Vieira, however, got some good knees and a powerful right hook in the second frame. The fight was decided by judges. Holm did seem to have a slight edge.

UFC Fight Night saw the women's bantamweight division on full display as Holm and Vieira met their first time. Holm, who was the former bantamweight champion was looking to defend that title in UFC. Holm won a five-round split victory, but Vieira was more comfortable grappling with Holm and outstripping her opponent.
Holly Holm, the welterweight champion of UFC women's bantamweight, is also on her way towards the Hall of Fame. Holly Vieira is another top contender for UFC women's bantamweight, but her victory over Holm suggests that she could be next. Holly Holmes' dominant performance during her UFC return was the highlight in a thrilling, hard-hitting women’s MMA match last night. The Brazilian 30-year old struck first in Round 1. She scored a right-hand and spun back elbow that put her opponent on her side. Holm continued to push forward despite the lack of momentum and soon found herself in a standing rear-naked choke. Holm's panic caused her to recall the UFC 200 Hail Mary rearnaked choke defeat to Miesha Tate. Holm was able to get her left arm out of the choke and make it a leglock.
Vieira struggled to adjust to the ring. Although she had less experience, her loss to Holly Holm was due to her lack of it. Holly Holm was one year older. Vieira was also younger, having made her MMA debut on 2011

Vieira's latest record isn't as impressive. In spite of beating Miesha Tate last December, Vieira went 2-2 in her next four fights. She is still a strong contender for the Bantamweight title. She may face Holly Holm and Irene Aldana in the interim. But she is currently higher than Vieira who won the Bantamweight champion in December.
