Ionescu’s performance in this season's first half was just a little below her triple-double mark. Her second-half performance however was exceptional. The New York Liberty's 24 points and eight rebounds saw them improve to 9-12, and reach the playoffs within half an hour.

Sue Bird double-double

Sue Bird, Seattle Storm Guard, established the WNBA record of career assists with 2,600. Bird's double-double on Friday night against the Las Vegas Aces was one of the biggest in league history. Ticha Penicheiro was the previous holder of the record. Bird, a 30-year veteran, passed her with a transition 3-pointer. With 1:50 left, the Seattle Storm lead by eight points. Bird broke her own record by scoring a 3-pointer with Breanna Stewart, her teammate.


Sue Bird's basketball legacy is second only Kareem AbdulJabbar's. In two decades, she played with the Seattle Storm, won four championships and 13 All-Star games, and is the only WNBA player to reach 500 career games. Bird won five consecutive Olympic medals. In addition, she was the league's most valuable assist maker and scorer.

Liz Cambage's scoring record

Liz Cambage is a premier center in the WNBA. She is second in the league in blocks, points, and rebounds per game. She currently plays for the Dallas Wings. They have won six of their seven last games. Today's game, Kid's Day in Dallas saw her surrounded by thousands upon thousands of children who were there to watch the game.

Cambage's 53 point effort against New York Liberty was a new WNBA scoring records. Cambage shot 73% from the field, and made 15 of 16 free shots. This makes her the first WNBA player ever to score this many points in a single match. In addition, she grabbed 10 rebounds and had five blocks in the game. Cambage's record is an incredible accomplishment and she clearly is having a stellar season.

Candice Parker's career stats

Candice Parker, a professional basketball player. She is a member of the Chicago Sky in the Women's National Basketball Association. In 2008, she was the first overall draft pick for the WNBA. Her basketball career began with the Los Angeles Sparks. Since then, she has played for several WNBA teams, including the Chicago Sky.

Parker's career accomplishments are well documented. She was a part of the 2008 U.S Olympic Team in Beijing, and was drafted into WNBA. She scored 34 points in her first game.
