Christen is an American soccer player. She is a part of the Angel City FC club in the National Women's Soccer League. She also represents the United States' women's national soccer team. Press made her international debut in February 2013, against Scotland. Since then, she has played in over 20 matches for her home country. To date, she has assisted on four of the seven goals.

Christen Press is the reigning Pac-10 Player of the Year and has been a standout on the field for nearly a decade. In her college career she has set many records, including 26 goals & 15 assists. With 105 points, she is tied for the team record. Though she has never won a national championship, she has enjoyed a stellar career.

Press is originally from Los Angeles. She played high school soccer in Chadwick High School. She led her team to two Southern Section Division IV titles. Later, she went on to play collegiate soccer at Stanford, where she remains the all-time leading scorer. In 2010, she was awarded the Hermann Trophy.

Press, 31 was a stellar player for Utah Royals FC last year, despite missing 10 games due her USWNT duties. ChristenPress returned to NWSL after a brief spell in Europe. Brooke Elby from the USWNT was traded by the Royals to the Chicago Red Stars for Press. Press enjoyed an excellent season with the team.

Christen Press is one of the most prominent players in the NWSL. With a deal worth $550,000 for two years, the former Manchester United player midfielder is one the highest-paid in the league. She also serves as a local ambassador. Press has made 155 appearances on the United States national soccer team. Her 64 goals rank her as the ninth-most successful.

Press was born in Palos Verdes Estates. She attended Chadwick School where she led her team towards the CIF-SS championships. She was named Player of the Year twice and later went on to play soccer at Stanford University. She holds many career records for goals and points and won the Hermann Trophy when she was a senior. Angel City FC signed her recently and she will make her NWSL debut on February 24 against North Carolina Courage.
